I didn’t know it existed, but when I was tipped off to Cruise Control by Terry Trueman, I was expecting the same amount of thought-provoking, page-turning magic that I got from reading Stuck in Neutral. And, I wasn’t disappointed. I don’t usually sit down after a book is read and think, wow, that’s heavy, then think and rethink the story, so you can see why these two books are on the top of my list. It’s a thought-provoking look at cerebral palsy in a painfully honest and imaginative way– what better way than to understand this handicap than to read Trueman’s two books.
